Tuition and Fees
The McCreary Center for African American Religious Studies is an affordable choice for the highest quality of theological training–which means excellent value for you.
Not only do we work hard to offer reasonable tuition, but we also work hard to keep student fees to a minimum. The resources here will help you prepare the costs currently associated with our program.
Application Process
We require a one-time $35.00 application fee for all new students. This fee is to accompany a completed application for admission and is non-refundable.
Note: A new student is any person who has not attended classes within the last five years
Registration
We require a $25.00 registration fee for all students registering for class. It is a mandatory fee due every semester at the time of registration. Registering for a course will hold your seat; We have all seats on a first-come-first-served basis.
Note: This fee is non-refundable. There are four separate registration periods: Fall Intensive, Fall semester, Spring Intensive, and Spring Semester
Late Registration
Students must register on or before the final registration date (one week before the term or semester) for each semester to be subject to a late charge of $25.00.
Once classes have begun, students who wish to register after the final registration date may do so through the second week of classes, with the professor's approval. Students are responsible for making up any missed work.
Withdrawals and Refunds
A student unable to complete an academic semester for reasons beyond their control must request in writing permission to withdraw. Based on the approval of the President.
We will process refunds based on the semester system:
- After one week: 75%
- After two weeks: 50%
- After three weeks: None
Late Payments
Failure to pay by the deadlines is subject to a late payment fee of $25.00 per semester. There will be an additional 1-1/2 percent per month fee to any account not paid in full.
New Payment Plan Options Available
We offer four different ways to pay:
Option 1: Monthly Budget
The student payments are due every month from their first payment until they have completed the program.
Option 2: Pay-In-Full
Students pay for the program at one time and receive a discount of $500 at the time of payment.
Option 3: Pay Half & Half
The student pays half the tuition and fees by the first week of the semester, and the second half will be due by the third week.
Note: Special Handling Fee of $25.
Option 4: Pay As You Go
Students pay for their course(s) in full by the first day of each class.
